One of my images that shows a large depth of field was the 2nd picture in class picture. The f-stop that i had my camera set on to create this shallow depth of field was f4. The ISO that I used was 200 and the white balance that I used was florescent. One of my images that showed a shallow depth of field was last picture in class that I took. The f-stop that i had my camera set on to create this large depth of field was f20. The ISO that i used was 200 and the white balance that I used was florescent again. I think the shallow depth of field is better because i like how the front is in focus. It brings a lot of emphasis to the object in focus and makes the image a lot stronger. You might want to use a shallow depth of field if the object in the front is stronger than the object in the background or if the object in the front has more detail or maybe if it is moving. Not to mention, it can help with a distracting background. A situation where a large depth of field would be better would be if the background is more interesting than the object in the front.
